Very good, informative and funny. The added interview/comments from other parents and advice at the end of each chapter was a very nice touch too.

Nowhere nearly as good as the first Mistborn book. The Well of Ascension felt much slower, as it dragged a lot around the invasion of Luthadel and the different armies and politics around them. I understand it needed to be a slow burn in order to build up, but it literally took >600 pages for the invasion to happen.
I liked some of the arcs told during this time, including OreSeur, TenSoon, Zane, or Tyndwill, but it took me way longer to finish this book as I found it a bit harder to engage and read it at times (Specially as I was also listening to/reading Dungeon Crawler Carl during this time, which really sucked me in lol, so maybe that was my bad). The last part of the book was super intense though and I really enjoyed it, but god did it take time to get there!

I enjoyed The Grinding way more than I thought. Reading it after catching up with Dungeon Crawler Carl, it is fun to see some of the recurring topics in this story as well (family dynamics, monster ball made of other entities, etc).
I also enjoyed seeing a much darker story, with some pretty shocking moments.
